Welcome to the General Asahel Stone Mansion!

The rich history makes the General Asahel Stone Mansion one of America’s Historic Places! The Mansion was constructed in 1872 in Winchester, Indiana.

The Stone Mansion was designed by the General for himself and his wife Lydia. They lived there from 1872 until they both passed away in the early 1890s. Their home is a beautiful example of the Second Empire architectural style and a monument to the Stones’ wealth and community service.
